Personal Writing

Taking action, and I’m inviting you to join me

I’m back to the “real world” from my two-week retreat, and I’m ready to jump into some action. I did a “Lessons at Sunrise” yesterday around this because I am determined not to let the energy and conviction of my time away just dissolve into a distant memory. So I am hosting a Personal Systems Disruption retreat November 13-15, and I want YOU to join us.

Are you ready to name your dream and to not only put it out to the Universe but to also do your part of working toward achieving it, too? Then this Personal Systems Disruption retreat is definitely for you.

I’ve named my dream: I want to have a global public speaking and writing career, and I’m working towards it in myriad ways: taking courses, applying and being invited to speak to groups, creating content consistently, doing livestreams and now offering this retreat so that I can help you and others discover how to pursue your passions, too.

This retreat is inspired, in part, by the 21-Day Abundance Meditation I signed up for while on my retreat. Day 3 asks you to create your own group and lead them through the 21 days, too.

Here’s some of the text around it:

You will work with the law of giving and receiving. The law of the movement of energy. Energy needs to constantly be renewed, because energy that is standing still does not flow, and can therefore not bring us back more energy in return.

You’re now in charge of forming your own Abundance Group. This task can bring up lots of resistance and can be frightening for some, for the extra commitment in a life already full of tribulations may seem daunting. But, mainly, it is the ego and its fear of rejection that is the main issue, or perhaps the silent competition with its own representation…

Are you ready to expand your comfort zone and hold the space for others to grow alongside you?

Go for it and own your leadership in the way you feel.

My initial thought was, “I can’t do that!” So I didn’t do it that day. But it kept nagging at me. The idea of renewing energy, of fearing the damage to my ego if no one signed up and of providing an opportunity for others to feel the 15 minutes of peace I was experiencing every day.

I began to look at it the way I look at my development work in my day job. I don’t ask people for money, I don’t beg; I invite people to share their resources with our mission to bring joy and fulfillment to us all.

So I put out an ask, and to my great surprise, 24 people signed up and have stayed with it. That’s renewing energy!

So I’m putting out the offer of this weekend retreat because I believe so strongly in the gift of disruption I was afforded on my retreat that I want to give that to others so they can experience it and see where their dreams can go, too. I’m risking rejection and having my ego bruised to try to move the Universal energy around so that it goes out to others and comes back to me with an even more increased vibration.

I hope you’ll join me and take this incredible journey, too.
