Embrace the essence of summer—(re)Discover Your Spark

Summer is in full swing, and I’m here for all of it. The early morning light, the fresh produce, the slowed-down rhythm of the days, the bike rides, the cute summer dresses, the blooming gardens, writing on my back deck and the time spent with friends and family—all these moments make summer special.

Every year around this time, I realize that I’ve started to take these days for granted, forgetting that summer is a temporary season in my life.

Sooner than I’d like to admit, the mornings won’t be bright at 5:15, and I won’t be able to sit outside on our deck, enjoying gentle breezes, birdsong, and the scent of flowers in our backyard.

It’s always a jarring realization because it’s so easy to believe that summer will last forever.

But, of course, it doesn’t.

Summer gives way to other seasons, each bringing their own beauty and gifts. We must pay attention and find ways to appreciate what they offer to our lives.

That’s true of every aspect of life. Nothing lasts forever…including us.

Don’t be lulled into believing that you have all the time, energy, health and opportunity to pursue what really matters to you.

The fact is, you don’t.

Autumn and winter are coming for each of us, literally and metaphorically.

Today, wake up and pay attention to where you are right this minute. How do you feel? What do you notice?

But even more importantly, what do you want?

Every season of life is short.

Even when it feels like it will last forever, you know it won’t. Eventually, things change; YOU change.

For my part, I’d prefer to be present for the change—to be there to help guide and manage the elements that I can. Maybe you’d like that, too. Join us for one of the two virtual (re)Discover Your Spark retreats coming up August 5-7 and September 6-8 if:

  • Your “next” feels unknown
  • You’d like guidance to get back to being present and purposeful
  • You’re feeling like the path you’re on is not the one you want to keep taking
  • You want to take intentional time to consider your own journey in a community of like-minded people

Remember, even sales end, so you have to hurry. The (re)Discover Your Spark virtual retreats sale ends Monday, July 22, and I won’t offer Spark work for such an incredible price again.
